I recently moved to Texas from New York and I am currently teaching Spanish at a middle school in the Austin area. I hold a Bachelors degree in Spanish, a Masters degree in Secondary Education, and I am certified to teach secondary Spanish in both New York State and Texas. Before moving to Texas I taught Spanish levels 2 & 3 at a high school in upstate New York for 3 years. During my senior year of college I had the amazing opportunity to study for a semester in Seville, Spain at “La Universidad De Sevilla”. I have also traveled and studied in Mexico on several occasions and in Costa Rica as well. Though I am not a native speaker of the language, I feel this gives me an advantage in teaching Spanish to non native speaking students because I myself had the same experience of learning Spanish as a second language. I can personally understand the struggles that students have and help to address them using the knowledge of my own experiences learning the language. I feel that I have a great rapport with my students and have had much positive feedback from both students and parents. Please contact me if you are interested. I look forward to working with you!
