About Kimberly:

Hi! I am a recent college graduate --I majored in English (Creative Nonfiction Writing) and French--who now works full-time as a professional editor. I love languages, writing, reading, and being active whenever possible. While I have always had good grades and excellent test scores, I gain the most from application.

As for my learning and teaching style, I think that learning new material requires both mixing standard and creative study skills and finding a reason to learn the knowledge. I am patient and will take the time to make sure that someone is engaged and actually understands the concepts before moving on. I have worked in both conventional curriculum and gifted education settings.

I spend my free-time volunteering (I work with African Refugees), being outside (I taught outdoor living at a camp for years), and traveling (I lived in Luxembourg for a summer, and traveled every weekend). I love children, and genuinely miss being around them.

Student Feedback:

  • Good teaching

my needs were about reviewing formal and informal conversation aspects, and some usefull idioms, phrasal verbs etc... In that area with Kimberly we covered my needs because we spent a lot of time speaking, and orienting the subjects based on my doubts. It has been a very useful and pleasant time for me during this stage in Boston. As point of improvement, I would mention that Kimberly should correct more the student about little mistakes and not only the big ones ;) I would recomend Kimberly as ESL\ESOL teacher. Thank you Hugues -
