About Carissa

Hi, my name is Carissa and I recently moved to Va from Orlando, FL. I'm 24 years old and graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a B.A. in Communications (Public Speaking/Writing) and Minor in Sociology. I volunteered for Students with Disabilities while in college and have experience in writing from recent jobs, including a computer network management company (marketing) and the Walt Disney Company (Professional Internship Program for the Communications/Events team). Newspaper publications include: the Orlando Sentinel (FL - poetry) and Asbury Park Press (NJ - Opinions section); West Chester University's paper and Florida Atlantic University's paper. I held positions as Editor/Assistant Editor for all of my high school's publications, including: the newspaper, literary magazine and yearbook.
