About Amy

I am 25 years old and have lots of experience in teaching. Currently, I work part-time for a non-profit tutoring agency that teaches adults how to speak english and to prepare for their GED. I have experience with small group instruction as well as one on one. I enjoy teaching with fewer students more. It is a chance for me to connect better with the student and for the student to connect better with me as a teacher. Therefore, more ground is covered with a more relaxed environment for the teacher and the student. I hold a bachelor's degree from Texas State University and I am also certified to teach at the elementary level, although I am experienced in teaching all levels. Tutoring is something that I absolutely enjoy doing. It is a schedule that is flexible and comforting for my family. Also, knowing that I helped a light bulb go off in a students head or that I made a student more confident about a certain subject is the real reason I teach.
