About Tara

As a recent graduate from a masters program in Elementary Education, I know how frustrating and overwhelming the learning process can be. I also know how important high expectations and challenges can be. When I work with students of all ages my goal is to balance out the frustration with the challenges to help each student succeed.

Though working with students has always been a passion of mine, a love of reading and writing won out initially when I started college. Seven years ago I received my bachelors degree with a major in English. Five years out of undergraduate school I began my masters program so that I could teach.

My tutoring experience has been limited but in the classroom as a long-term substitute and throughout my student teaching and summer programs I led my ability to cater curriculum to individual students has been developed and honed. Teaching is my passion and my enthusiasm infuses everything I do.
