  • Packages of $2,500+ will receive a 20% discount and cost $2,000 and up.

I enjoy learning and teaching languages.I speak English which is my native language, French, Spanish German and Swedish. I have lived and studied the languages in each of the countries where they are spoken.I have been teaching languages to children from the ages of 5 to 18 individually, and at public and private schools,for over twenty nine years. I have also tutored adults.

I have taught in Trinidad and Tobago, Europe and now in the United States. I am a volunteer ESL tutor with the Hillsborough Literacy Council. In 2007 I was presented with an award for Tutor of the Year.I am a Board member of the Alliance Française in Tampa, Florida; and my passion for French continues, as I am also a member of a French conversation group.

I like using role play in teaching. I find it a most effective way for students to remember structures of a language, while having fun at the same time.Role play involves games, as well as visiting shops, stores, restaurants and cafes; and using the language in live situations.

  I have participated in several ESOL workshops with the Hillsborough Literacy Council since January 2007.I am a certified tutor with them and have tutored many students, mainly Hispanic.In 2007 I received the Tutor of the Year Award. Currently I am assisting in conversation courses for ESOL students,in a 10 week course which started in October, at the Town and Country Library in Tampa, Florida.
