elementary (k-6th)
I am very qualified to teach and tutor those of you that are in grades K-6. While I was the Director of an After-School Program, that provided tutoring services for grades K-8, I pursued new learning tools such as the electronic Jepardy game to enhance our students learning and our educational program. I also created a faciliated what I call "life" simulation game that provided increased student interpersonal skills,and made students enjoy learning. I pride myself in producing hands on lessons and programs that facilitate learning.
There are several ways that I have learned to enhance the process of learning in elementary math, reading, science, vocabulary, and english. While working as a program specialist, I was inclined to create individualized lesson plans that combine learning with fun. I realize that you grasp concepts better when the lessons are fun and engaging! I will make sure that we do not utilize the same routine over and over again, unless you prefer it and it works for you. I also make sure that I get feedback from you as it relates to my teaching technique and change it accordingly. I am very patient and know that you should dictate the pace of learning not me. Using these concepts I have been successful at generating student excitement. Your increased enthusiasum equals better grades, better grades equals happy parents and teachers, happy parents equals= SUCCESS!

I have managed and facilitated successful career development programs during my past employment as a Director of a community center and presently at a non profit law firm.I can offer one-on-one or group career advising services to individuals seeking direction in career planning and development. I have learned that an effective resume must be a well-written summary of your education, work experience, professional skills, and interests. Your goal should be to develop a resume that targets the desired employer and effectively matches the employer's needs. It is important that the design you choose allow employers to quickly see what you have to offer them. It is important that job seekers have good information and well-developed job-hunting skills to be successful in securing employment. In addition, an effective job seeker must be aware of their goals and skills as well as understanding the impact of the labor market on their job search. The employment interview is usually the final step in the job search process. How you perform during the job interview may be the most important determination of whether you will receive a job offer.
