I have 30 years of teaching experience. I have a BA in History and Art History from Birmingham Southern College. I also hold a BS in Secondary Education from BSC. I have variety of teaching experiences. I began my career in the Jefferson County school system, teaching four years in the Alternative schools and at Minor High school in Montgomery. I have taught at Carver Jr. High, Baldwin Magnet School and the last 13 years were at the Montgomery Academy. I was recognized as The Montgomery county Teacher of the year in 1996 and won the Mclemore award for teaching excellence in 2007. I have taught US history, Ancient -Medieval , Alabama History , Modern World , and Geography.
