Hello! My name is Laura Jones, and i am moving to the Fort Walton Beach area in December and am looking to tutor students who have difficulty in school.
I attended and graduated from Pensacola Catholic High School. During my high school career i volunteered to be a tutor at Oakcrest Elementary School- our goal was to help struggling students pass the FCAT. My student passed his :)
I currently attend Pensacola Junior College and am just about done receiving my degree in Education.

Since I've began my college career, i have student-taught at two different schools. For one semester i worked in a Kindergarten class room, and later on I worked as a Art Assistant for a Catholic elementary school. This semester I am working with Pre-K.

For years I have worked as a volunteer at local Vacation Bible Schools, so i have a lot of experience dealing with children of all ages.

I'd like to tutor students in Kindergarten-6th grade.

I am a hands-on and visual instructor, and use art as much as possible to help understand subject matter. However, i can easily adapt to any teaching style the student works best with.

elementary (k-6th)

I have 7+ years of experience working as a volunteer at local Pensacola Vacation Bible Schools, thus giving me tons of experience working with children particularly in this age group. I have student taught Kindergarten at McArthur Elementary, Art and Pre-K at St Paul Catholic School, and am currently working at McMillan Pre-K Center.
