Hello! As a student myself, I recognize that you have taken an important step in seeking out help where you need it. I am almost finished with my Master of Divinity degree, and I value the teachers and tutors who have helped me achieve my goals!
I approach tutoring relationships from a strengths-based perspective. I look for strengths that we can build upon, rather than focusing on the negative. Achievements should be celebrated, and I believe that students will be better able to tackle new challenges if they have pride in the work they have already accomplished.
My favorite subjects are English, writing, and literature, especially Biblical studies. I am currently a Youth Director for a local church, where I enjoy teaching the youth about Biblical texts and religious history. I connect easily and quickly with youth and with younger children, helping them engage the topic at hand in a fun and interesting manner.
I have an eye for detail as well as an ability to see the big picture. I can help a student proofread a paper, and I can also help edit content and structure so that he/she is able to more clearly and effectively communicate.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you meet your educational goals!
