About Ben

Let me tell you a little about myself. Two years ago, I graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Mathematics. I taught at Pima Community College for at least four semesters in subjects such as pre-algebra, elementary and intermediate algebra. I have approximately five years of tutoring experience from basic math up to college level math (trigonometry, calculus, physics, etc). Currently, I am studying for my Masters in Mathematics Education. My teaching style is very simple. I give you an assessment on the subject. I will target your weak areas, and teach you the skills and problem solving techniques in order to master those areas. Overall, I am a pleasant, friendly, and patient person who is willing to work with anyone who wants to succeed in math.

More On Ben's Subjects

  • chess

As a high school student, I joined my chess club and competed against other schools. I ranked 4th place in the varsity alternate section. A couple years later, I won a speed chess tournament. I have read books and have studied theory on chess. I would be glad to share my knowledge with anyone who wants to learn the game, and possibly wants a shot at competing against ranked players.
