To make the most of schooling, many people seek the assistance of in-home tutors. An in-home or like myself can help students gain confidence in specific subjects, develop a greater understanding of challenging material, and learn skills for growth and success as a student. At all levels of education, I can help students succeed, not only in the subject being studied, but in all other educational areas as well.
I have more than 10 years of experience teaching and tutoring elementary and high school students. I have earned both Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees from the University of LaVerne and New York University. I am currently a doctorate level student completing my Psy.D in Clinical Psychology.
After many years of teaching as an employee at several professional tutoring companies, I am also been able to expand my ability in helping children and adolescents who experience difficulty concentrating and completing tasks. I have worked with all core subject areas from reading, math, science, history and foreign languages. In addition, I have assisted student in preparing for standardized testing such as, SAT, ACT, GRE, etc.
I have been able to develop time management skills and testing skills allowing for more productive educational needs. I acquire great patience and flexibility in being able to accommodate each students needs. I have worked with various ethnic backgrounds and am very culturally sensitive.
