I recently received a Bachelor's degree from Harvard University, where I majored in film studies and minored in psychology and French. I began tutoring in high school when I helped students of all levels with their homework in a variety of subjects including writing, social studies, and math. While studying abroad in France last year, I tutored approximately ten French high school students in English. I've also tutored a few high school students from my former high school in all three sections of the SAT. In addition to tutoring the SAT Reasoning Test, I am also prepared to tutor the French and Literature SAT subject tests and corresponding academic subjects. Additionally, I am familiar with the ACTs, GREs, SSAT, ISEE, SHSAT, and Hunter College High School Entrance Exam.
I enjoy helping people in a meaningful way and love tutoring others. A tutor helps students beyond an academic context. A tutor also helps students gain confidence, tackle content they never thought they could, and follow their aspirations. I am therefore interested in tutoring students in the NYC area to help them achieve their goals.
I am willing to travel to your home but require that the first session is held in a public space such as a library, cafe, or casual eatery.
