My first name is Dony. I am an Algebra and a Modern Language Instructor with a proven record of making my student brilliant at Math, and fluent in English, Spanish and French in an efficient manner. I have a linguistic background and enjoy working in a team environment. One of my best qualities is good verbal and written communication skills. I am very much organized, dependable, details oriented, and thriving in a setting where there is limited supervision. I enjoy working with students, and have been teaching Algebra and Modern Languages since 2000.

My summer position as a Spanish & French Instructor for North Shore Community College / Upward Bound has equipped me with skills in assessment and instruction. These duties allowed me to increase my ability to teach effectively. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Linguistics and a Certificate in Accounting Science from the State University of Haiti. I was the 1st Award Winner in French Grammar, French-speaking communities, France, 2007.

During my time as a Tutor for Club Z! In-Home Tutoring Services, I help students become successful in Math, Reading, and Language Arts by providing individualized in-home tutoring to them in Chelsea, MA.

• ESL/ESOL

  I hold a Bachelor of Applied Linguistics from the State University of Haiti. I started to teach ESOL in 2000, where I was working at Excelsior College, one of the biggest private high schools in Port-au-Prince, the Haitian capital. Later on, from 2004-2007, I became Professor of Foreign Languages at the Faculty of Applied Linguistics, within the State University of Haiti, where I was teaching English and Spanish to college freshmen. In the United States, precisely in Lynn, Massachusetts, I worked as a Tutor of ESOL at Operation Bootstrap, Inc, in 2008, shortly after the completion of my Certificate in English. During this year, I have worked as a Tutor for Alternative Unlimited Tutoring, where I have made children become successful in ESL and Math in Malden, MA.
