I am a student at IPFW. My degrees will be a BA in Psychology and a BA in Sociology. I am a Junior and have a GPA of 3.43. I worked in a High School with Emotionally Disabled students and now work with teens in a lock-up facility. I have passed background checks with both jobs. I am CPR and AED certified. The style I use most often to teach is example. I believe that if a student is shown every step in the learning process with explanations and allowed to ask questions they are more likely to understand what they are learning and thus retain the information. I am very patient and truly enjoy seeing a student achieve their goals.

• Bible studies

  I was raised in a Baptist Family; Father is Head Deacon at his church, Mother teaches 8 year old girls, Sister tutored for a Missionary Family in Mexico after graduation, Brother is a Pastor of a successful Church in Maryland, his wife was raised in a Missionary Family in Africa. I am well grounded in understanding of my faith and well taught in how to prepare for Bible study and how to plan a study session. I have taken courses through the church in how to take notes in the margins, coding for easy referencing, and applying what I learn. I am devoted to the belief that accepting Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation. I do not argue salvation with others or expect them to believe what I believe. Beyond my belief in Salvation, I am very open to discussion and respectful of differences in faith.

• ASVAB

  When I took the ASVAB in High School, I scored better than 99%. I have learned a lot about how to do well on test, eliminate nervous tension that might lower abilities during testing times, build confidence about making right choices, and how to get and retain the most from classes. I can teach these things to you and help you to go into your ASVAB with complete confidence.
