  How much does tutoring cost through WyzAnt?

  Answer:

  Tutors set their own rate and most range in price from $30 to $50 per hour, with others either lower or higher depending on experience and cost of living considerations. However, WyzAnt does offer discounts to our students for making an advance purchase.

  • You receive a 5% discount on packages of $200-$399, with a total cost of $190-$379.
  • A package of lessons that would cost $400-$999 will receive a 10% discount, resulting in an upfront charge of $360-$899.
  • A package worth $1,000-$2,499 will be eligible for a 15% discount, with a total cost of $850-$2124.
  • Packages of $2,500+ will receive a 20% discount and cost $2,000 and up.
  Remember, satisfaction with your first hour of tutoring is guaranteed and the unused portion of your purchase amount is both refundable and transferable to any WyzAnt tutor.

I am a recent NYU grad who loves empowering students to believe in themselves. I specialize in college applications (including scholarship applications), SATs, English and writing. I also enjoy working with elementary school students and I recently spent a year tutoring K-3 students in the SMART reading program.

I build a tailored tutoring program for each student. Before each session I ask what worked and what didn't during the last session, and open the floor for you to make suggestions. Together we will find what works for you.

Between our tutoring sessions I research colleges and scholarships and share my findings with you at the next session. I also bring homemade treats (cookies, cupcakes, or something healthier if you prefer!) to each session.

What makes me qualified to do all this? I was valedictorian of my high school class and got a 1550 on my SATs, with an 800 on the SAT Writing (back when those were separate tests). I got my bachelor's degree in environmental studies from NYU in 2006.
