I am a former secondary English teacher and writing instructor, and I have also tutored and conducted writing and grammar workshops for Del Mar Junior College and TAKS readiness. I have a background in the performing arts as a teacher for seven years, and this also includes public speaking. My teaching experience includes instruction at all levels, from remedial to college level, and includes public, private and charter school instruction. I am available to teach all of the above subjects, and I have raised three children who are all successful in writing, composition and performance art. Two have graduated from college, and my oldest child has used his skills for his career as an attorney. My youngest son is a college student.
For many reasons, I prefer to instruct one-on-one, but I am equally effective with groups of students. Although I have a small business, I will also work with you to help design an appropriate schedule for both of us. In addition, since I also have an extensive background in business communication, I am available to help with resumes, cover letters and business coorespondence. I graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 1998 with honors.

  I taught public speaking for seven years in both public and private schools . i have taught those who have no apparant abilities in this subject to be confident and effective speakers. I follow a curriculum that is easily completed and also helps those who have problems with other types of communication,i.e. writing and test taking, to use this information for all course work. Keeping in mind that the fear of public speaking is the number one fear in America, I design my instruction to be introvert-friendly.

  Mt Bachelor's Degree is in Communication with emphasis in theatre. I taught theatre in the school system for 7 years. I have also conducted several acting classes and have directed several stage productions in the community and for private individuals. My background also includes acting in productions at Texas A&M University and sponsoring speech/theatre competitions, and my companies have never failed to place. I would be interested in teaching one-on-one, as well as a group of theatre students, and I also am able to teach Theatre History.
