About Zubiadah

I completed my coursework for my MBA in July 2009 and I have always been interested in Math and Money.

I was self employed for several years and decided to return to school. I wanted to understand what my financial statements were really telling me from a practical standpoint.

I registered to take the Level I CFA in June and I need to retake the test next year (the test definitely separates the girls from the women) and I have learned there is much more to finance than I thought.

I am really good in Math and lower level finance coursework. What I don't know I'll find an answer.

I enjoy tutoring because it forces me think outside the box and it reinforces my learning. In addition, I have learned that there are no silly questions and no one should feel ashamed to ask a question.

  • Quick Books

From 2002 until 2006, I used QuickBooks Pro to maintain my financial records. QuickBooks is user friendly so it was easy to set up my chart of accounts. We did not maintain inventory because we were a service related business, but it allowed me to manage my cash flow and I could tell how much we spent on each employee at each job site. I reconciled my bank statements every month. I invoiced all work orders and generated purchase orders when needed to approve purchases. I was able to customize my invoices and I could print out checks. One of the good qualities of Quickbooks is that it is a self contained program. Meaning, you can pay employees and pay bills. You can create job estimates. You can accept credit card payments and set up customized customer accounts. I was able to look at monthly Income statements and Balance Sheets. The software program is good for beginners and professionals.
