I hold a BA and an MA in English, I have taught English composition at both the high school and college levels, and in my career as an Administrative Law Judge with the state of Connecticut (25+ years) I have always been the "go to" person when colleagues needed their work edited or proofread. I am a stickler for good grammar, clarity and organization--this trait may sometimes be annoying to the student or my co-worker, but they certainly recognize the value of my input. My own children, now in college, can certainly attest to the value of my assistance!

When tutoring one-on-one, I strive for a casual and trusting relationship and attempt to make the experience as enjoyable as possible, while never losing sight of the ultimate goal: improvement in reading comprehension and in written expression.
