Hi! My name is Amanda B and I hold an Oklahoma State Teaching License in the area of 6-12 Language Arts. The past 8 years I taught in an Oklahoma City Public High School. This current year, I chose to go back to graduate school at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. I am also currently a candidate for National Board Certification and will find out this November if I was accepted. Last year, I graded the writing portion of the SAT test with high accuracy. I have two children, one is nine and one is 16. I love animals and have two big hairy dogs. Before I taught school, I was a nanny to many prominent families in the OKC area. I own a little pizza shop in a cool little area in OKC and have often done tutoring at the shop. I have experience with all levels of learners and have great success with increased reading scores, higher levels of comprehension, and better writing ability. I have access to great tutoring resources and am able to bring success to your child.

  Originally I was getting a Master's degree in bilingual education. Throughout my teaching career I worked with all of the ESL students in my building. There are many students that I have helped. One student in particular, went from a first grade reading level to a eighth grade reading level. This allowed him to receive his Drivers License. I also administered all of the ESL testing to the students at my site.
