I have 6 years of K-12 school teaching experience. During my teaching career, I have conducted a comprehensive educational program that includes: assessing students academic and behavioral needs, implementing the curriculum (long and short term objectives, lesson plans and assessment) developing and utilizing appropriate teaching methods and carrying out the IEP program. I have also maintained the required documentation to include student attendance, progress on IEP goals and progress on curriculum goals in alignment with the state’s standards. I have met with parents to discuss student’s needs program and to convey the progress of my students. I have passed the Praxis Exam II in 4 content areas: Elementary Education Content Area Exercises, Education of Exceptional Students: Core CK and Education of Exceptional Students: Learning Disabilities, Principles of Learning and Teaching K-6. I believe in being organized, setting high expectations for each student, creating a safe but stimulating environment where every child can perform to his or her best ability.
