About Allison

I just graduated from UC Merced with a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology and Molecular Immunology. I plan to get my PhD in Bioinformatics or related field. In order to prepare for this I am taking a year off prior to going to graduate school to increase my computer programming skills. My ultimate career goal is to teach Junior College Biology. So, throughout my college education I have taken every tutoring opportunity given to me. In the past I have tutored Chemistry, General Biology, Algebra, Political Science and Logic as well as Bioinformatics. When tutoring Bioinformatics I had to cover not only the biology portion of the topic but, how to use a Unix/Linux computer operating system. Also, both of my parents are elementary school teachers and I have helped in both of their classrooms.
