My educational background is in civil engineering, and I enjoy helping others get past their sticking points so they can reach their goals. I have a very flexible teaching style and enjoy finding ways to explain material to students that will make sense to them. I've successfully helped 2nd and 3rd graders grasp the basic concepts of algebra as an experiment to see if it was subject matter that was difficult or if there was some form of mental block that kept them from learning. In science, I go out of my way to show the relevance of the subject matter being learned. Knowing why something is used often helps motivate others to learn. I also put a fun spin on any subject I possibly can. I have tutored math through calculus 2, science on all levels, history, and offered help with proofreading, report layout, design work, et al... I am currently working as a substitute teacher as well and have taught physics and mathematics as a long-term substitute. Please feel free to request any additional information that could be useful to you while making your decision. No matter who you choose to ask for help, I hope you find success and always try to do your best. You can do anything you put your mind to and will only really fail if you tell yourself that you can't do something. I know you can do it, keep trying!
