I hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Communications from the University of Lima, Peru and I have more than 17 years of experience in banking, management, training, web design, advertising and TV production in Spanish. I have written for newspapers, magazines, radio and television. I also write poetry in Spanish as well as English, some of which has been published.
I would like to help you improve your job opportunities, make the best of your trip to a Spanish speaking country, start learning from zero or just get back on track with your Spanish for the new school year. My teaching approach will bary depending on the level of the student. I am a teacher trained to work with people of many different learning styles.
I believe with the advent of the Internet and the dawn of a global economy it is vital for all of us to have a perspective broader than the city in which we live. I hope to encourage you to be curious about the art, philosophy, literature, politics and culture of Latin America. I have traveled extensively in my home country of Peru, the Caribbean, other South American and North American countries as well as Spain and other European nations. Im also very familiar with the Chicano, Mexican, Central American, and South American communities living in the United States. I have a fine appreciation of the subtleties of various traditions, norms and values of different regions and subgroups of the Spanish language world. I have a global world view and appreciate the contributions various peoples have made.
I was part of the University of Akron "Ohio Core Foreign Language Education Program". I am presently pursuing my Master's degree in Diversity Management at Cleveland State University.
