I have over 20 years' experience teaching violin, viola, and music theory. I absolutely love what I do! Whether you're a beginning, intermediate, or advanced student, I'm excited about working with you. I'm experienced with ages 4 through adult, and I'm very comfortable with both children and adult learners.
I have an adaptable teaching style and, since there are many learning modes, I will tailor my approach to what works for you or your child. I am well-versed in both the Suzuki Method and Traditional Method, and I've taught both styles for many years.
I have a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from Shenandoah Conservatory of Music, and a Master of Music in Violin Performance from University of Illinois at Champaign. I also have played violin professionally for 20 years, and I founded and directed my own community music school, Ocean Conservatory of Music, for 10 years.
I would love to guide you on your musical adventure, and I hope to hear from you!
