As a recent VT graduate and salutatorian of my class, I am passionate about the value of a world-class education. My education has been richly diverse, from college dual-enrollment classes in high school to language study in the country of Georgia to independent studies with the VT Honors Program. Each of these experiences has contributed to my excitement for learning, which I aspire to share as a tutor. Throughout college I volunteered as an ESL (English as a Second Language) tutor, one of the most fulfilling experiences of my whole college career, without a doubt. Witnessing my students' amazing improvements over our time together was immeasurably rewarding, and I look forward to sharing this same experience with you.
My B.A. (Summa cum laude) is in Interdisciplinary Studies: International Studies, Communication, and Leadership. Throughout college I was quite active in the VT Honors program as one of the select members of the Honors program housing, the Hillcrest Community. This provided me with many invaluable educational opportunities, such as the Class of 1954 Scholarship program through which I received $5000 for a self-designed summer project in the country of Georgia. I am also a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation's oldest and most famous honors society.
