I am a professional freelance writer, editor, and researcher. I have a Master's Degree in American Legal and Constitutional History and have written a book for middle school and high students about a legal case. I am returning to graduate school this fall to finish my doctorate in history. I have taught Freshman Composition, Writing for Literature, and Writing for the Social Sciences at the University of Minnesota and have been a teaching assistant in the History Department. I'm also writing a detective story which my writing critique group loves! I write and occasionally broadcast the news one day a week for a local public ratio station (KFAI). I love to write and I really love to teach others how to write. (I have some really cool pre-writing exercises). And I also love history and love to teach people that it's more than just a list of dates and names. My friends and professional colleagues tell me that I'm friendly, humorous, and skillful in getting along and working with others.
Oh, I can't leave this out: I'm a voracious reader. I read everything and anything, especially history books, novels, biographies, self-improvement books, and cookbooks.
