soccer
I played soccer, or football as the English call it, since I was 5 years old all the way up to varsity in High School. Throughout it all, I had coaches that I will always remember for their teachings and inspiration. Perhaps the most memorable of them all is a Brazilian coach who taught me about jogo bonito, which is a style of playing that incorporates fancy footwork and deceitful passes to overwhelm an opponent. Most importantly, jogo bonito is about having fun no matter how bad you may be playing. It is these teachings that I can offer to someone who is new to the game. Obviously I cannot pretend to have the credentials and experience to teach a national squad, but I can help out with the basics: passing, shooting, dribbling, protecting the ball, etc. Additionally I can help out with fancier moves such as juggling, bicycle kicks, fancier dribbling, and fancier shots.
