About John

??!Mandarin is my passion! I began studying at the University of Utah in 2005. Since then I spent 2 years in Toronto (the most multicultural city in the world according to the UN) teaching Chinese immigrants about church. I also taught them English twice a week, which made me familiar with how to teach a language. Not to mention all the experience I have learning languages myself. After 6 years of Spanish classes, I won the award as the best non-native speaker at my school. Upon finishing in Toronto, I was hired by McDonald's to translate for their top executives during the Olympics in Beijing. I was offered a scholarship to study Chinese at BYU where I won the Chinese speech contest at the highest level. I know what it takes to learn Chinese, and I can explain it to you in either Mandarin or English. You will be able to master the language more efficiently under my tutelage. Hope to see you soon! ??!
