About Erin

Hey! My name is Erin and I have been tutoring and teaching math subjects throughout my undergraduate and graduate career. I have done both private tutoring sessions set up outside of school and group sessions set up through the math department. As I have been on all sides of the situation; as student, tutor, and finally teacher, I fully understand the frustrations most students feel with math. Also through my six years of experience I have learned several techniques and hints to help students understand a problem. My experience has taught me how to show the same problem from several different angles so that you can choose the one that makes the most sense for you. Recently I was voted Tutor of the Year at North Carolina State University's Athletic Success Program, where I was described as patient and understanding so that they felt comfortable with asking any level of "stupid questions".

I received my undergraduate degree in mathematics from Clemson University. A requirement of this degree is a discrete mathematics course. From their I have been a supplemental instructor for the course twice, tutored numerous students in the course, and have since taught the course once.
