About David

Because physics is fundamental to all sciences and most engineering disciplines, achieving a strong understanding of physics can set a student on positive path to excelling in numerous science and engineering classes on the way to earning a valuable degree.

As a college physics instructor I have taught both algebra-based physics and calculus-based physics for over ten years. I also have a year and a half experience at teaching physics to high school students. Besides teaching classes I have a couple of years experience tutoring students in physics and math at a community college. My typical physics student far exceeds the national average in their understanding of physics.

A large part of my teaching success comes from showing how physics applies to everyday life and thus this makes it real to the student. I have a knack for making complicated concepts seem easy. For each physics course I have extremely helpful physics study notes, PowerPoint notes, and practice exams.

Perhaps you are currently struggling in not just physics but in most of your classes. I can understand your feelings; for myself I was a ‘D’ student when I was in high school. But while I was in college I learned how to study and this enabled me to make the dean's list. Later after being a teacher for a few years and helping students ‘learn how to learn’, I returned to college to achieve a 3.9 GPA while completing 30 graduate hours in just one year. These study habits that worked for me will work for you to raise your GPA at least a letter grade if not two. I can help you to achieve outstanding academic success.
