About Richard

I am retired from Bristol-Myers Squibb and Fifth Third Bank. I am currently employed part-time at Junior Achievement of Southwestern Indiana.

My career began as an English teacher in Cheltenham High School, a suburb of Philadelphia, PA. I am a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and also attended two years of graduate school there, majoring in English Education with a minor in Social Studies.

Using my teaching skills I became Director of Sales Training at Mead Johnson Nutritionals and Director of the Corporate Training Institute at Citizens National Bank. I was also a Branch Manager and Regional Sales Manager for Citizens and Fifth Third Bank.

My style is informal and personal, rather than formal and distant. Teaching was and is my preferred profession.

Anyone would find me likable and intelligent and with a sense of humor.

More On Richard's Subjects

  • Bible studies

I have been a student of the Bible for all of my adult life. I was a youth leader as a young man. I have read the Bible through at least four times and attend both Sunday School and church every week. I would be considered a conservative Christian by most people. I also studies Religion at the University of Pennsylvania. It would be a privilege to help someone become familiar with the truths in the Holy Scriptures.

  • general computer

My personal computer experience dates back to the 80's when I was the first employee to be permitted to have a desktop computer at Mead Johnson. I have worked with PC's for many years. My software experience includes Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Powerpoint). I am not qualified to work on an Apple, however. The rest of the staff at where I work use me as a problem-solver on their PC's. Not wanting to mislead anyone, I am not a professional IT person, even though I can use a PC quite proficiently and I can teach others how to do the same.
