As a professional educator I have a robust and diverse body of experience ranging from the teaching of high-need students in Hartsdale, New York to academically gifted students in Charlotte, North Carolina. While in North Carolina my students maintained a 90% pass rate on their state-administered exam. I am proud to say that 100% of my students passed their (2003) exam.
I am currently working at the Academy of Information Technology & Engineering in Stamford, Connecticut, where I have been teaching ninth, eleventh, and AP Composition and Literature. AITE is a magnet school that is committed to prepare every student for college.
I have been successful because I inspire my students by accessing their multiple intelligences. I create an environment in the classroom where every student is given the opportunity to express themselves in their own unique way.
My ideal school would be one where the administration, teachers, students, and
parents work together to create an atmosphere that fosters excellence.
