About Bernier

Hello All!

My name is Bernier. I recently graduated from New York University with magna cum laude honors and a degree in Media, Culture, and Communications. I would describe myself as a friendly, active, and very outgoing person. I love interacting with new and different types of people. I was captain of the NYU Track and Field Team, where I was an all-american 800 meter runner, and two-time conference champion. I also volunteered coaching a youth track team in New Jersey (my home state) for two summers. I am most interested in helping coach runners or people looking to gain an active lifestyle. I was also formerly a basketball player in HS for a top ranked basketball program in NJ. On the academic side, I am also available to help students better learn about computers. I took 4 college level computer courses including Web Development, Computer Programming, and Computer Principles. Please contact me with any questions. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

  • general computer

Hello, Need help with your general computer skills? In this fast-paced high tech world technology is changing at a light-speed rate. With more and more jobs requiring computer skills, it can be very difficult learning even the most basic processes without some help. Here is where I come in. As a recent college graduate from NYU with a degree in media and communications, I am very well-versed in computer applications and processes. Over the course of my academic career at NYU (I almost minored in computers), I took coursework in Computer Programming, Web Development, and Computer Applications. I received a grade of A in each of these courses. I also graduated cum laude with a 3.75 cumulative average. I have helped others before (including my own mother), go from knowing nothing about computers to now operating her own email account and surfing the web. The key for many is a step-by-step approach, building on what you know through consistent practice. You need a tutor who is both knowledgeable but also understanding that every person has their own learning curve and needs time to adjust to a new system. Please contact me so we can discuss your current status and also your goals. I look forward to working with you soon!

  • study skills

Hello All, Do you have trouble preparing for a big exam? Need help figuring how to ace your next test? Well then, I'm your man! As a recent graduate of NYU this spring, I have been through my fair share of big tests and learned a system that helped me optimize my performance in my classes. And the results have shown. I graduated cum laude with a cumulative GPA of 3.73 in the communications program. Furthermore, I received a perfect 4.0 in my fall and spring senior year transcripts. Learning the proper studying skills to maximize performance is all about organization and preparation. With a review of your current status and problem areas, I can setup a unique program that will help YOU immediately. Please feel free to contact me with questions or inquiries. I look forward to working with you soon!

  • track & field

Hello All, I have been running track and field since the 8th grade and now I am currently finishing my 9th year of running. I started out as mainly a sprinter in middle school and the beginning of high school, and then eventually worked my way up to middle distance with my specialty being the 800 meters. In high school, I ended up ranked #8 in the state of New Jersey in the 800 meters. I was a parochial A state champion and was an all-american on the 4x4 team that placed 4th at Nike Nationals. I ended up being part of 6 school records at my school (5 of which still stand today). I ran track for NYU for all four years (recently graduated). I was an all-american indoors in the DMR and a national qualifier 4 times with a personal best of 151 for 800 meters. I was a captain of the team my senior year, and also a two time conference champion among other awards. I have always enjoyed giving helpful tips and advice to my fellow teammates. I consider myself a student of the sport, as I currently follow the sport closely on both the collegiate and professional scene. I also was a volunteer coach for a youth AAU track club in New Jersey for two summers. If you need any help with running advice or need some tips in how to take your performances to the next level, please contact me today so we can discuss your path to success!

  • basketball

Hello, Are you trying to take your game to the next level and needs some tips? Need just a person to play with? I can help you out. As a basketball enthusiast and former HS basketball player for a top prep program in NJ, I have learned all the proper fundamentals of the game. I am by no means the best basketball player or best coach, but I am a person who is smart, diligent, and willing to work with a person on whatever goals they would like to achieve. If you would like more information or have any questions, please feel free to contact me at any time. I look forward to working with you soon!

  • public speaking

Hello, Do you have stage freight? Need help with speech organization? Just looking to polish up your skills? Well, I could help you with all these issues and more! As a recent graduate of NYU's Media, Culture, and Communication program, my major was very focused on polishing our public speaking skills. I took coursework in speech organization, public speaking, as well as argument and debate where I received a grade of A in each of these courses. I also graduated NYU cum laude with an overall GPA of 3.75. Public speaking is mainly about three things: proper preparation, practice, and CONFIDENCE. Whether you consider yourself a beginner or someone looking to gain more experience, public speaking is a skill that can elevate your personal profile to the next level. As your tutor, I will first personally assess both your writing and organization skills. From there, I will individualize your training to match your current level of speaking experience.
