Bonjour!
I am a current student at UNC Charlotte, majoring in French Language and Culture. I spent the fall 2008 semester abroad in France, and plan to return there after I graduate to pursue my TEFL Certificate. I love France, the French people and their beautiful language. My dream is to teach English in France.
In addition to my near-fluency is French, I am a stickler for correct grammar, spelling, language usage, punctuation, etc., whether it be in English or French. I am a very patient person and I understand the time it takes for learners to grasp and understand both domestic and foreign language concepts. I know this includes explaining concepts over and over and that's okay! That's what I'm here for: to help YOU with both your strengths and weaknesses. It's important to understand that your strengths and weaknesses in learning might not be the same as someone else's, and that's okay too! While in France, I spent many hours helping my French friends to understand both written and spoken English while discussing the nuances of both languages. It took a lot of explaining on my part but this only helped to clarify and influence my own style of teaching.
In addition to all this, I have many interests and activities that include music, movies, theatre (I am minoring in it), reading and writing, animals, sports, politics and just life in general.
