I am currently a junior at Cheyney University on a full academic scholarship. I am a Psychology major and Spanish minor with a 4.0 G.P.A. I am very proficient in writing academic papers and essays. I am currently a part of Big Brothers and big Sisters, which gives me the opportunity to tutor a student once a week in various subjects. I also was a part of this program in high school.
I played three years of varsity basketball in high school, and I currently play for recreation. Prior to moving to Philadelphia I volunteered at the Police Athletic League, coaching girls basketball during the summer.
My hobbies include but are not limited to, playing video games, reading books, watching cartoons, movies, and sports, listening to music, going to museums, traveling, writing short stories and much more.
My method of teaching/tutoring is making sure that the student learns as well as have enjoyable. Therefore, I incorporate games such as jeopardy, matching, stomp the tutor and etc. The theory behind this style of teaching/tutoring is to let the student not feel as if studying is a chore.
