I am a 2009 graduate from Virginia Tech with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology. I had a cummulative GPA of 3.55 and therefore graduated with Cum Laude Honors. I was also a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and made Dean's list (3.4 and above) all but two semesters of my college career.
I orgininally decided to major in political science because I want to go to law school someday, however, for now I have decided that I want to be a teacher (an epiphany that came to me after applying for the Teach for America program) and I am now working on my master's of Education degree.
I made Honor Roll (A's and B's) every semester in high school, if not Prinicpals List (All A's). I was in the top 20 of my 2005 class. My strongest subjects, as relevant to my major choice, were socical studies/government and English. If you need any help with civics, government, history or any related subjects, I am the person for you!
Also, just to note, I am very proficient in English. While I did not major in this subject in college, it is a very strong subject of mine. I took Advanced and Honors courses my entire high school curriculum and also took upper level English classes while in college. I was also co-captain of my high school Academic Literature Team. I had planned on going to graduate school and earn my master's in English education, but it turns out you have to earn your bachelor's in English in order to do so. Any way, if you need help with either parts of speech, grammar, or maybe understanding Shakespeare, I can definitely assist!
Something of note as well. In college after taking a professional writing course, I have only gotten B's on two papers. If grammar or Shakespeare is not your area of assistance, just note I can help with essay writing as well.
In addition, I have lots of experience tutoring. I tutored while in high school and also volunteered in college. I am a very down to earth person who will see to it that individual goals are met. :)
