I am a practicing attorney with a J.D. and a B.A. During the past 6 years I have tutored in the art of question analysis and application of logic to law school and bar essays and multiple choice questions. I work effectively with ESL students. I am the co-author of a book on how to successfully write bar examination essays. I'm exceptionally computer literate in both PC and Mac have mentored in learning both computers and computer programs from highly complex online database programs like Westlaw to commonly used programs such as Word and PowerPoint. I have used computers for over 20 years and can show you how to operate a PC or a Mac from the very basics of how to turn it off and on to more complex user functions including how to find and operate standard programs that come with the operating system. I have mentored individuals with computer phobia as well as those who think having a computer in their life is fun and enhances their ability to communicate and learn. I have a history of working with the disabled and am familiar with adaptive equipment as simple as a track ball and have worked with an individual using Jaws For Windows and Window Eyes (for the blind).

I am a certified webmaster graduate of Merrimack College's webmaster program. I began learning when HTML was 3.2 and have followed it through to the present standard. I've run a web design business, worked doing backend programming as a contractor, and presently am the webmaster for a non-profit and two for-profit business I co-own. Understanding HTML enables you to modify programs you may chose to use from highly complex ones like Dreamweaver to virtual WYSIWYG programs such as SandVox (Mac only). For the adventurous, you can program your own sites from scratch using HTML! I happen to specialize in accessible design and have been a consultant for a disability consortium in Boston, so I can give you pointers on how to make your website accessible to the maximum number of people through the best use of HTML.

I have run my own web design business and created sites using everything from plain HTML to highly complex programs such as Dreamweaver. At one point I managed a 500 page site with updated content and I've done backend programming for other companies. Web design can be as simple as using a WYSIWYG tool such as SandVox (Mac only) or it can be as complex as doing your own research for color combinations and learning how to do layout and design using a variety of techniques. As a specialist in web accessibility I can show you how to make your web design accessible to the largest number of people, especially important in the business world or we can talk about highly specialized sites focusing on just one type of clientele. No matter which, web design is an interesting field and a lot of fun if you enjoy the creative process!
