I have both BA and MS degrees in mathematics, and was a PhD candidate at NYU. I have previous teaching experiences in both high schools and colleges, in the NYC public schools, and at Hunter College, NYU and Pace University. While in business, I achieved an MBA degree in accounting, a CPA license and became a manager. Many students find it easier to have dificult topics mixed with examples from real-world experiences. I do this as part of my tutoring methodology.
If you are seeking a French tutor, I am a member of the French Institute – Alliance Francaise since 1994. In middle and high school I completed five years of French studies,and I received a 97% on the NYS Three Year French Regents exam. My French abilities have since been honed by my years in the business world, performing audit work in French speaking Quebec City, Montreal, Monte Carlo and La Napoule, France. I have experience with tutoring for French courses at the high school and college levels. This past spring, my own daughter, at Hunter College, took her first French course and needed tutoring, which I gladly provided. She received an A for the course.
