I am currently majoring in Chemistry Education at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana. I was accepted to all 6 colleges I applied to: Wheaton College near Chicago, Miami University in Ohio, Taylor, Cedarville University in Ohio, University of North Florida in Jacksonville, and Bradley University in Peoria. I graduated Dade Christian School with a 3.82 cumulative weighted GPA on a 4.0 scale. On the SAT, I received a 640 on the critical reading, 610 on the math, and 550 on the writing (1250 out of 1600 or 1790 out of 2400). I had a 25 ACT composite. I received a 3 on the AP Calculus and AP Chemistry exams. I was in the 84th percentile on the College Chemistry ACS standardized final and in the 85th percentile on the Inorganic Chemistry standardized final. On the Praxis PPST, I received a 172 out of 190 on the Writing section, a 183 out of 190 on the Reading section, and a 188 out of 190 on the Math section. I tutored a high school student in Geometry and Algebra II as part of my major and worked over 100 hours with younger kids at the Miami Museum of Science. I have played percussion since the 6th grade and I am now in the Wind Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble at Taylor University. I have taken Calculus I and II and University Physics I and II (I took University Physics II under the newly ABET accredited program). I have taken Organic Chemistry I and passed but with a C (it is a very rigorous class). I received a 102.72% in the music section of Art as Experience and a 103.37% in Issues in Economics.
