I am a senior at the University of Kentucky. I'm majoring in Art History and minoring in Art Studio. I have taken drawing classes since I was seven. I have taken classes in the languages of German, Japanese, and Chinese. I love science and history.
I am very good at memorizing. I have a rather good photographic memory, so I'm very much a visual learner. I enjoy making up unique ways of remembering things. I like to see how the student learns best, and then go from there.
I also have 16 years of martial arts experience.

• Chinese

  I have taken two semesters of Chinese at the University of Kentucky. I know basic sentence structure, how to write characters, the pronunciation of pinyin, and some cultural aspects of Chinese life. I will be taking two more semesters, so I have the intention on eventually becoming fluent in the language.

• martial arts

  I have been involved in martial arts since I was five years old. I have experience in the Korean/Japanese style Tang Soo Do (Chuk Kun Do), and Kenpo. I also have some experience in Aikido, and Kung Fu. I have taught self-defense classes as well as regular classes for students at a studio. I have taught students katas, how to count in Japanese, and basic techniques such as punches, kicks and blocks etc. I have experience with weapon training, sparring, and bag work.

• volleyball

  I played volleyball for four years in high school. I have been an assistant coach for a middle school/ high school team. I know the fundamentals as well as strategies used in playing volleyball. I have worked on a one on one basis with players to improve their personal skills such as spiking, setting, receiving, and serving.
