Hello! My name is Yotam. I have a Master's degree in art from Eastern Illinois University (2009), and a Bachelor's degree in fine art from The Ohio State University (2008). My artistic specialization is in painting, drawing, and film, but I have advanced understanding of many other media and related subjects including animation, sculpture, installation, performance, illustration, art history, art theory and criticism, and running an art-related business. In addition to studying, practicing, and teaching art, I have also been a trained musician, studying classical guitar and electric bass guitar, as well as music theory and composition. I have worked with motorcycles, I have run a small business, I have played ice hockey and soccer competitively, and I have some proficiency in German and Hebrew (about three years of each). I am an avid writer (both creative and journalistic), and have worked as a student journalist and as an editorial cartoonist in high school and college. I have written essays concerning art history and criticism, as well as press releases, artist statements, and reviews for various artistic functions. I consider myself a people-person, and I take a great deal of pleasure in clearly and concisely imparting useful information to others as a teacher, regardless of the subject or content. I believe that if I possess knowledge of something, there is a methodology that will make it easy for you to obtain that knowledge from me so that you understand it just as well, if not better.
