About Lauren:

Teaching is my passion. I have been a teacher for 3 years now. I graduated from East Carolina University certified to teach K-6 and I am also a licensed reading teacher K-12. Elementary education is where I have most of my experience. I have worked with Sylvan Learning Center for a year, but I am looking for positions closer to home. My co-workers say that "Energy" is my middle name and I love to keep students motivated to do their best. When students feel motivation they feel success. Currently, I am teaching 4th grade in Holly Springs, NC and enjoying every minute. The school that I am with is year-round, so hours can increase when I am tracked out if your child needs extra help in certain areas. I know 4th grade is a big writing year, and extra time to work in this area is usually needed. I also have several testing materials in the area of reading/spelling/comprehension and I am also able to analyze testing results (extra compensation is necessary for supply of testing materials).
