My name is Valerie, and I am a recent graduate from the University of Evansville with a B.A. in Spanish. I have taken several classes in education and have experience both tutoring and working in ESL and Spanish classrooms. I have been studying Spanish for over ten years and spent five months studying in Spain in 2008.   In my small town high school, we didn't have an ESL teacher, so two other Spanish-speaking students and I were ESL tutors, and worked with two students from Mexico one period a day. About two years ago, I also spent four months teaching in a junior high ESL classroom for a couple hours a day. I have also taken classes on teaching ESL at the University of Evansville. I feel like through these experiences and through my knowledge of English as my native language, I have a solid grasp of the English language, its vocabulary, and its grammar, and that I will be able to help you improve your English!
