About Louis

Education is a life long process that starts from birth until death. Whether someone is educated by attending a class, being tutored, or just learning from life’s hard knocks, it is an ongoing event. I have been fortunate in all three areas and would like very much to share those experiences with others. That is why I am interested in the tutoring process.

My father was in the Air Force for almost 30 years, so I had the great opportunity to see the world up close. Home was an Air Force base in Morocco, Italy, England, or stateside in Massachusetts, Texas and Colorado. While at each, our family traveled around each locality, getting a feel for the area, the culture, the people. My childhood was rich with this experience, so much so, that pictures in book or on TV are real and alive. I’ve been there, done that.

Then, 20 plus years in the travel industry only added to my learning. I found that the more I traveled, the more there was to see. People around the world all have the same aspirations as I do, a home, a job, someone to love, peace and security. Having taken many language courses only furthered this because in language, the real mentality of each group of people comes through. Structure and grammar reinforce each nation’s thinking. Whether it is the honorific form of chopstick in Japanese, or the word order of German, each culture’s sense of being is reflected in its language.
On the educational side, I have a BS in Biology with equivalent in Spanish, minors in Psychology and Education. There is my MA in Behavioral Science and MFCC (Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling). Finally, my MD in General Medicine, earned in June, 2008, from Lviv National Medical University in Ukraine. Yes, I certainly have been around the world. There have been classes in foreign languages (Japanese, Hebrew, French, Italian, and Ukrainian) that did not lead to a degree, but more knowledge. There was Organizational Psychology taken as a post graduate course, as well as the requirements to be licensed as a realtor. So much more to learn.

Therefore, I can tutor many different subjects due to my education, training, and experience. I have many interests and abilities not mentioned above and welcome your questions and comments. Please feel free to contact me regarding any subject needed. If able, I am more than willing to tutor. What I know, I will gladly share.
