About Sarah

Hi my name is Sarah. I am 21 yrs. old and married with two children. My boy is 3 my daughter is 1. I graduated in May of 2005. During my Senior year I dull enrolled. Dull enrolling is when one takes highschool and college classes at the same time. In highschool your receives credit for the college classes that one takes. I have completed two years in College at SJRCC and will be returning back in May to further pursue my Bussiness Admin. Degree. I had to take some time off due to having a baby. I tutored for almost half the year in the 11th grade. I had a friend that was having a hard time in Alg 1 and 2 and I offered to help her and she brought her grade up from an F to a B. I found that the way to teach her was one on one time with NO distractions. I would take a problem and write it down on paper then so her the proper way to do it with NO shortcuts. Then I would ask her to do the same problem and come to an answer then we would discuss how she came to that answer and if was incorrect we would do the same one over until she understood it. After whe understood it we would go to the next problem and continue doing the same thing. Then I would go to a review section and have her do a problem and while she was working on the problem I would do it as well. When she finished we would compare answers and talk about how we got them. Every person is different so what might work on one student may not work on the other. For instance, My younger brother and sister didn't understand it beccause the teacher didn't make it interested but the moment you would say something about what they liked they were into it and understood it and have started getting better grades. It is something that the Tutor must see what the student likes and try to make it interesting for the person that needs help. Well I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank You
