About Eric:

I earned a BA in English from Stetson University. Minors in History and Political Science. I love to tutor Civics and American Government. I currently work with students from middle school to post graduate level. I'm editing a dissertation for a doctoral candidate and teaching writing to a gifted sixth grader! That's just the way it worked this semester. I began my tutoring career as an employee of Hillsborough Community College's Disabled Student Services Division. When the college ended their dedicated tutoring program for disabled students, I decided to tutor privately. I have taught writing at the college level and currently work as a freelance copywriter. I really enjoy tutoring and helping people write better and appreciate the magical world of Language Arts. The best compliment I have received lately came from my step daughter (a student in the Pasco IB program) who was struggling in World History. She initially refused offers to tutor, but finally relented. She said I made the material fun and interesting for her and much less of a chore. She scored her first A on a World History exam after our sessions started! One of the most exciting jobs that I had shortly after I graduated from Stetson was managing a political campaign for a candidate for the FL State House. I'm a junkie for politics and like to tutor American Government and speech. I did four years of forensics in high school and four years in college, so I can help anyone shine in a speech class. I am happy to provide references from current and former students.
