Learn More About Dr. Janet's Experience:

piano I am an internationally recognized concert pianist, recording artist and Master Teacher of piano. My awards have included the Van Cliburn Piano Award and the prestigious Presser Foundation grant. I hold the Doctor of Musical Arts degree, summa cum laude, fron the University of Southern California with a major in Piano Performance and minors in Music Theory and Music History. I have studied piano and piano pedagogy with many prominent artists including legendary pianist Ozan Marsh (who was a pupil of Rachmaninoff and Horowitz), and have taught at USC, UCLA, the California State Universities, and the Kamehameha Schools in Hawaii. I am a member of Pi Kappa Lambda, Alpha Lambda Delta, the Music Teachers National Association and the College Music Society. My piano students have included many prominent artists and celebrities, and I have recently recorded as soloist with Sir Neville Marriner in London. I am also a skilled piano accompanist and pianist for film and television, and appeared in the NBC film, "Nutcrackers".
