Hello,

My name is Kena W. and I am a graduate from Liberty University with a degree in special education. Since i graduated I've worked with children from ages 3-21 yrs of age in many different subjects and different atmospheres. When i teach i try to make sure I have a manipulative for every type of learner, such as auditory,visual,kinesthetic etc.

Responsibilities included making lesson plans, teaching the children to read and write. Also to be able to count and recognize numbers to 100, knowing their colors, shapes and ABC’s. Last but not least, to teach them right from wrong.

Hutcherson Early Learning Center (special needs). Lynchburg VA
Responsibilities included working with children that have autism, Asbergers, Mental Retardation. Help with lesson planning, making sure the children can follow directions, giving them all the love and affection the children need and want. Always interacting with children and teaching High Scope.

Hello, my name is Kena and I am a graduate from Liberty University.Since graduation I have tutored 4th and 5th graders in reading, language arts and math. I've also taught a kindergarten class and was also a special education teacher for students ages 9yrs to 20 yrs old. I feel comfortable teaching any age group and take pride in being able to find fun ways of learning a subject.

track & field

My name is Kena and I am a graduate from Liberty University where I ran division 1 track and field. I have been a track athlete since my sophomore yr in high school. I ran the 55 meter dash, 60m dash, 100m dash, 200m dash, 400m dash and the relays.I'm also a high jumper, long jumper and triple jumper. In high school I was all conference in every event I did, but stuck out in the highjump. I was sixth in the state of New Jersey in the high jump, but when I got to college I was 2nd best in the state of VA. I was all conference in everything in college,I have the big south record in the high jump at 5'11 and was a national contender. Since college I have coached at Brookville high school where I coached state, regional and district champions. I have also took on private lessons from time to time. I love track and I love to show people how much fun track can be.
