My most memorable learning experiences were with instructors who took the time to make learning fun and exciting, while encouraging students to excel by teaching basic skills to help them help themselves.
By incorporating these skills and techniques with patience and interest towards the individual and their specific learning styles, all subjects are taught with ease and enthusiasm making learning enjoyable and interesting.
In 2000 I worked with pre-schooler's as an art instructor at CC'S Playhouse in Seattle, WA
More recently from 2003-2006 in Boise, ID. I worked with mentally challenged individuals on a daily basis assisting and teaching basic life skills, along with social and outdoor activities.
One of my most memorable moments was teaching a young lady how to fish, from baiting the hook to cleaning.
It was all new to her, but she loved it and learned well, catching at least 6 fish in a short time.
